    Long & Associates upholds government standards as well as those of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), of which we are a member organization. In doing so, we undergo  the AICPA’s required peer review by an outside public accounting firm every three years. 

    Our Leadership

    Martin Long, CPA, Founder and CEO

    Martin Long is the founder and managing partner at Long & Associates. Before launching the company, Martin was a senior manager in the Atlanta office of EY, where he served clients primarily in the retail, distribution, and manufacturing industries.

    In starting Long & Associates, Martin knew he could better support his customers’ needs by combining the resourcefulness of a large firm with the personal attention clients get from a specialized accounting and consulting services firms. Further, by closely associating with customers during every engagement, the Long & Associates team could help identify opportunities to help businesses and government agencies operate more effectively and efficiently.

    A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and 2010 alumnus of Leadership Georgia, Martin served on the board of the Japan-America Society of Georgia, the Board of Governors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and on the Georgia Chamber executive board.

    Martin received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University and an Associate in Arts degree in business administration from Miami Dade College, where he was a Cum Laude graduate.

    Monica Long, CPA, Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer 

    As CMBDO, Monica Long is responsible for directing the firm’s strategic growth and new business development. Monica has extensive finance, accounting, internal audit and project management experience in diverse industries including restaurants and hospitality. She also has a proven ability to increase efficiency, maximize profits and impact overall business growth by identifying cost reduction opportunities, improving business processes, strengthening internal controls and developing effective teams.

    Monica has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. She is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
